Eutychus

There's nothing like being together with other people who care about the same things you do. When we met for Eutychus in April, we spent some time reminding ourselves what we think is important, what we are really interested in. We came back to the Bible - because it's 'able to make us wise for salvation, through faith in Christ Jesus' and so that we may be 'thoroughly equipped for every good work' ( 2 Timothy 3 v15,17) , and we remembered how Jesus' name is 'like honey on our lips' ( or like chocolate spread if that's your preference ) - that's to say, not only will it nourish us, but it will bring us pleasure and make us happy!

The main thing is that together, we felt we could support each other to find the space and time to make relationships, share experiences and be ourselves - no matter who we are ( the group's for anyone who wants to be involved, no matter what age or gender ) and no matter how many of us there are ( even if there are two or three of us, we'll carry on and do something useful! ). Meeting once a month will provide an opportunity to enrich our faith - we're looking forward to finding out more about who we are and who God intends us to become.

So we have decided to look at The Purpose Driven Life, and over the months to come to cover the first seven chapters of this powerful and insightful book. You can have a look at it online http://www.purposedrivenlife.com, where the first seven chapters are downloadable free of charge.

If you'd like to join us, and I really hope you will, please see the diary for dates for the rest of the year.

Venues still to be arranged, so keep your eyes on the church website, the facebook group or the newsletter. We'll also plan in some social events for partners, friends, children etc, and of course we'll let everyone know about those too. If you want to know more, speak to Rachel, Jayne, Sarah or Davina.
